Vince Cable "Political Sage" according to the New Statesman

12.00.00pm GMT Thu 26th Feb 2009

Since the financial meltdown dramatically intensified in September 2008, Gordon Brown has managed to ride the economic storm rather more successfully than the Conservatives…..

…..It is Vincent Cable, the Liberal Democrats' economics spokesman, however, who has indubitably emerged as the political sage, unafraid of confronting neoliberalisms shibboleths, demonstrating a clarity of mind and the political courage to tell things as they are, in a way that has escaped all other prominent politicians.
